College Life Coaching is a progressive initiative that offers undergraduate students valuable one-on-one personal support to achieve not only their academic, but also their personal goals. Students are usually referred to a Life Coach by faculty or staff member, but a student may request an appointment themselves as well.

What is Coaching?

While an advisor might help you pick classes or plan for graduation, meetings with a College Life Coach can focus within a range of topics that have been proven important to students’ success at FIU. These can be:

  • Time management
  • Study strategies
  • Motivation
  • Managing obstacles
  • Evaluating progress towards personal goals

Whatever you’re struggling with, a Life Coach can provide you with guidance.
